David M. Freshwater Associate

David M. Freshwater is an associate of the Firm.  Mr. Freshwater graduated cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center in 2009.  While at the University of Houston Law Center, Mr. Freshwater was an articles editor on the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal and earned a spot on the school’s Mock Trial Team.  In addition to the Mock Trial team, Mr. Freshwater was a finalist in the Hippard Novice mock trial competition at the University of Houston Law Center.  Mr. Freshwater was also inducted into the Order of the Barons for his scholarly achievements.  Mr. Freshwater accepted a position as an Associate of the firm in 2010. 

Experience

Mr. Freshwater assists in the defense of lawsuits asserting claims of inaccurate occupational drug testing.  Mr. Freshwater also assists in advising Firm clients on employment issues, including Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, ADEA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, drug testing policies, and the development, implementation and handling of employment policies and procedures. Mr. Freshwater also assists in general litigation matters for small businesses, including contract disputes, non-compete agreements, shareholder oppression suits, and the misappropriation of trade secrets and confidential information.
