Casey M. Wright joined the firm as an Associate in February 2015 after graduating from the University of Houston Law Center in 2014. While in law school, Ms. Wright was a senior articles editor on the Houston Journal of International Law and served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Justice Rebeca Huddle of the 1st Court of Appeals. Ms. Wright also gained additional experience while working in the legal department of a national health care company where she assisted in the development and implementation of company-wide employment procedures, researched regulatory compliance issues, and provided litigation support. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Wright was a clerk for the Honorable Judge Caroline Baker of the 295th Harris County Civil District Court.
Ms. Wright assists in the defense of lawsuits involving claims of inaccurate occupational drug testing, as well as other employment and general litigation matters for businesses. Ms. Wright also assists in advising firm clients on a breadth of employment and regulatory issues, including but not limited to, Title VII, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, the development, implementation and handling of employment policies and procedures, drug testing policies, HIPAA, as well as CLIA and licensure related issues for clinical laboratories.Â
